Healthcare is a human right.

Florida ranks 4th in the nation for the most citizens without health insurance. Help us secure universal healthcare, free for all at the point of service.

Medicare for All Florida, Inc. is a grassroots group of Floridians working to end our state’s healthcare crisis. We are nonpartisan, positive in our messaging, and not tied to any ideology. We believe healthcare is a human right. Our ultimate goal is to implement a single payer healthcare system where everyone can get the healthcare and prescription drugs they need, regardless of their ability to pay, employment status, age, or any other factors.

Local Resolutions

One way to show elected leaders that the people of Florida want and need universal healthcare is through local resolutions. We’ve already helped pass resolutions in the City of Key West and the City of Gainesville.

Legislation

We support federal, state, and local legislative efforts to make universal healthcare a reality. In 2022, we delivered over 300 petitions to Rep. Darren Soto (D-FL-9) asking him to support this legislation. This year, we are seeking sponsors for the Healthy Florida Act.

Supporting Candidates

While we are nonpartisan and not tied to any specific political ideology, we support local and state candidates who share our values. We table, canvass, and knock doors for candidates we believe in.

“We say to the private health insurance companies: whether you like it or not, the United States will join every other major country on Earth and guarantee healthcare to all people as a right. All Americans are entitled to go to the doctor when they're sick and not go bankrupt after staying in the hospital.”
