On Wednesday, September 17, at 8:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. CT - join us for the Medicare for All Florida monthly meeting!
Join us to hear from special guest speakers Gillian Mason, Executive Director of Healthcare-NOW, and Oliver Larkin, Candidate for Congress, Florida’s 23rd District. Gillian will share details about Healthcare-NOW’s annual conference, which will be held right here in Florida this November! Oliver Larkin is a candidate for the U.S. House and is a supporter of Medicare for All as the best solution to our current healthcare crisis.
Orlando Come Out with Pride

Medicare for All National Strategy Conference
The 2025 Medicare for All Strategy Conference will be IN PERSON this year in Rockledge, Florida (30 min from Orlando) on November 22 & 23, co-hosted by Healthcare NOW and Medicare for All Florida!
It's time to build The Healthcare Resistance. Join us for a weekend of plenaries, interactive workshops, strategy sessions, and opportunities to build community for Medicare for All supporters from across the country!
Conference registration includes:
Admission to all conference programming
Lunch on Saturday and Sunday
Cookout dinner on Saturday evening

Logistics:
We are unable to cover the cost of travel and lodging for attendees, but we will make every effort to make some lower-cost housing options available.
Discount tickets are available -- see sliding scale options below and choose the option you can afford.
Registration fees will be waved for On-Site Conference Logistics Team volunteers. Email conference@healthcare-now.org to volunteer!
Fundraising training will be available before the conference to assist attendees who need to crowdsource their costs for the event.

Join us to hear from special guest speakers Carrie Rheingans, State Representative, Michigan District 47, and Daryl Campbell, State Representative, Florida District 99. Rep. Rheingans will share how she introduced her universal healthcare bill with 22 co-sponsors and stated a national caucus of state legislators supporting universal healthcare. Rep. Campbell will discuss his bill on Doula Services in Maternal Health Initiatives.

May Statewide Meeting

Join us in the fight to protect and improve healthcare! In the Florida 2025 legislative session, SB 1284 and SB 1288 would have reduced access, while the Healthy Florida Act and the $35/month copay cap on Insulin would have improved and expanded healthcare.
At this month’s meeting, we will be joined by guest speakers Anna Eskamani, State Representative FL-42 and candidate for Mayor of Orlando, and Felipe Souza-Lazaballet, candidate for FL-42.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We will hear from two wonderful guest speakers, Rev. Gail F. Gardner, the namesake of Gail’s Law, a DNA Evidence Rape Kit Tracking System, and Board Member and social worker, Laurie Scop. We will learn about healthcare access for sexual assault survivors immediately after the assault and long-term emotional healing.

With the new federal administration, threats to our health care might be on the horizon in many different ways. Now it is even more important to keep up the fight for healthcare! On the state level, Medicare for All Florida initiated several bills for state legislature this year, from the Healthy Florida Act to a $35/month Insulin cap. On the federal level, the Medicare for All Act will be re-introduced this spring - hear from candidates running in two congressional special elections in Florida, about their plans for healthcare!
