April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We will hear from two wonderful guest speakers, Rev. Gail F. Gardner, the namesake of Gail’s Law, a DNA Evidence Rape Kit Tracking System, and Board Member and social worker, Laurie Scop. We will learn about healthcare access for sexual assault survivors immediately after the assault and long-term emotional healing.

March Statewide Meeting

With the new federal administration, threats to our health care might be on the horizon in many different ways. Now it is even more important to keep up the fight for healthcare! On the state level, Medicare for All Florida initiated several bills for state legislature this year, from the Healthy Florida Act to a $35/month Insulin cap. On the federal level, the Medicare for All Act will be re-introduced this spring - hear from candidates running in two congressional special elections in Florida, about their plans for healthcare!
